I noticed the difference in the first training session I did with my new Elite S3, from Tufo. Compared to the ultra-resistant Hi Carbon, the S3 glides better, doesn't have as much friction and grips the road well.
After 985 kilometers since I switched to the Elite S3, these are now my tires of choice.
They are light: Tufo announces a weight of 265 grams in a 25mm measurement for this tubular, taking into account that it already has the cooked chamber inside.
In the technical data sheet, this tire is more suitable for racing than for training and on the road you can clearly see why. But thanks to its improved tread and a new 210/375 TPI casing it is now more resistant to punctures than its predecessor, the Elite S3 Light, thanks to the “Vectran Puncture” barrier, inserted under the tread.
In training sessions where we need to go faster, we feel that they hold well in curves and that they are stable in any direction we point the front.
